The Visitors Center also features the National Park Service's changing park exhibits, which showcase items from the park’s museum collection as well as five permanent exhibits focusing on themes central to Philadelphia and the birth of America:
- Independence Hall, scene of the events that created the United States of America
- The evolution of the American idea of democratic government, as articulated in the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution and the Articles of Confederation
- Benjamin Franklin and his many achievements as published author, scientist and diplomat
- 18th Century Philadelphia
- The Liberty Bell

A personal concierge can assist you with your trip planning and within the building there are brochures and computer kiosks that highlight regional attractions; as well as several educational and entertaining films.

Hours: The Independence Visitor Center opens daily at 8:30 a.m. Closing times change seasonally. There is no fee to use the visitor center.
