Outsider Tip
Rose Tree Park is Delaware County’s premier venue for outdoors concerts and festivals.
Bring your kite along with your picnic and relax among the rolling and wooded hills of this 120-acre park. Bikers, hikers, walkers and runners are also drawn the wooded nature trails. The popular summer evening concert series, held in the park’s ampitheater, regularly attracts five to six thousand people.
Formerly used for steeplechase racing, Rose Tree Park includes a picturesque gazebo and three historic buildings, two of which are used to accommodate several County Departments. One, the old Rose Tree Tavern, is on the National Registry of Historic Places.
COME PREPARED
Bring a blanket or beach chair for the concerts. No alcohol is permitted and pets must be leashed.
DON'T MISS
The free summer concert series, which features evening concerts every week, begins in June and goes through August. In December, the Festival of Lights kicks off the lighting of more than 100 trees to help kick off the holiday season.
